With the women’s Euros in full force, here are 5 key players you should look out for in this year’s tournament.

  1. Claudia Pina – Spain – Forward

The young Spanish forward lit up the 2024/25 UEFA Women’s Champions League, after being crowned top goal scorer with a total of 10 goals. Whether she’s starting or coming off the bench, Pina has proven she can be a game changer for Spain. Her electric goal contributions were displayed during the Women’s Nations League semifinals, when she scored two goals in just twelve minutes after coming on as a substitute. At only 23 years old, the Barcelona star is quickly carving out a name for herself on the European stage.

2. Sjoeke Nüsken – Germany – Midfielder

Only two games into the tournament, Nüsken has already been impactful for Germany. The 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder stepped up to score a vital penalty in their 2-1 win over Denmark, showcasing not just composure but leadership. With her dynamic abilities and box-to-box energy, Nüsken brings control and intensity to Germany’s midfield. Expect her to be central if the team go any deeper into the tournament.

3. Leah Williamson – England – Defender

After captaining England to their success in Euro 2022, Williamson returns this year in hopes to take England all the way to the top again. At the center of England’s back line, the Arsenal defender combines calm composure with tactical intelligence, providing strength to the squad. Her ability to read the game makes her an unstoppable asset to the team. Williamson’s resilience and experience will be key if the Lionesses want to make a deep run at Euro 2025.

4. Ewa Pajor – Poland – Forward

Pajor is Poland’s all-time top scorer (68 goals in 102 caps) and FC Barcelona’s record-breaking striker, who netted 43 goals for the Catalan side in her debut season. She now captains Poland in their first-ever Women’s Euros, with a lot to play for in a difficult, Group C. With clinical finishing and natural leadership, Ewa Pajor makes is one of the most underrated figures at this summer’s tournament – and a player more than capable of delivering the goals to prove it.

5. Michelle Agyemang – England – Forward

Making her major tournament debut, 19-year-old Michelle Agyemang just had to be included in this list. Currently, the young forward holds two senior caps for England, but that hasn’t stopped her from proving she belongs at this level. After receiving her first call up to the England squad in April 2025, she made an immediate impact — scoring just 41 seconds after coming on against Belgium in the Nations League. If given minutes and a stage to play on, Michelle’s combination of finishing and energy could make her England’s secret weapon.
